We are proud to have built relationships with Tampa Bay Locals for over 20 years. We are pleased to be a “second home” to all these dogs.
If you’re a first-time client looking for a boarding facility, here is what repeat clients are saying about The Doghouse, LLC:
Client Reviews and Experiences
“Did such a great job with our dog! This was our first time boarding, and it was a great experience. The staff communicated really well with us, even reaching out when they noticed he had lost some weight to make an adjustment to his feeding routine. You could tell that he had been loved on and well taken care of when we picked him up. We will definitely be using The Doghouse again!”
From: Ron Weasley’s owners, a Dauschand
We pride ourselves on having a vet tech on staff and trained kennel workers with “an eye” for the dogs while in our care. We knew this active Dauschand would need a calorie boost for his extended boarding stay.
Our protocol is to contact owners if any concerns arise during your dog’s stay, and we will always act in the dog’s best interest.
More Happy Clients
“The only place I will board my dog. Carrie and Jordan and the rest of the staff are exceptional.”
“Very professional and knowledgeable. Felt safe to leave my Baby Boy Knox with them for boarding and training.”
“HIGHLY recommend The Doghouse for boarding. We board our young German Shepherd, Zeke, here, and knowthat when we leave him, he is in good hands and still has structure and discipline. Our pup can also be very scared of adults and everyone on the entire team handles him with confidence which makes him relax. He always comes home happy and exhausted so know he has plenty of play time. Would love to have Zeke trained here but my schedule hasn’t worked out yet but know they would do a great job.”
Why Clients Keep Coming Back
Common words you will read throughout our reviews are: Safe, Structured, Exceptional Staff, Professional, Confident, and Knowledgeable. We set the standard for the care of your pet in the industry.
Safety You Can Count On
At The Dog House, your dog’s safety is always our top priority. Here are some of the ways we keep every guest secure, healthy, and comfortable during their stay.
- We ensure your dog’s safety by having small, personable playgroups.
- We do daily lookovers on boarding dogs. This prevents anything from going unnoticed while a dog is in our care. Florida summers can be hot and humid, and it is critical to be on the lookout for hot spots, ear infections, and allergies. Our staff knows exactly what to look for.
Our unique property is double-fenced!
We have a 6-foot wooden privacy fence and a 6 ft chain link fence behind it. We also have coyote rollers on the top of our fence in the turf yard. Remember, our foundation is in working dogs, so we are one jump ahead of them!
Our yards are shaded by beautiful oak trees.
We also have shade covers, fresh water outside, and plenty of space for romping in the fields.
Our indoor kennels are temperature-controlled.
Your dog feels safe inside. Their kennel room perfectly matches its temperament, ensuring peaceful downtime between let-outs.
A Structured, Calm Experience Every Time
At The Dog House, structure is part of what makes our environment feel calm and predictable for every dog.
A Structured Environment
Our kennel is primarily a training facility that has expanded to allow selected dogs to board, which will keep the structure and learning environment healthy and calm. This structured model is very different from daycares and other boarding facilities that have large playgroups of over 15 dogs at a time and a constant revolving door that can leave the environment loud, unpredictable, and stressful to some dogs.
Small Playgroups
Playgroups never exceed more than 3–4 dogs at a time. Dogs enjoy smaller playgroups that are matched according to the dog’s temperament and personality. This ensures no bad habits are picked up, the dog is not overwhelmed by new dogs coming and going, and that balanced interactions are happening.
Tailored Experiences
Your dog’s stay should not be a whirlwind of chaos. We strive for a more intimate experience with your dog. Some dogs would rather go out alone, which is perfectly fine. We compare it to going on vacation and planning social events versus relaxing and reading books!
Exceptional Staff
You can feel confident knowing the people caring for your dog are truly dedicated.
I can brag on our staff all day! We hire people who want careers in animals. They are either growing in our company or going to school to further their career as vet techs, veterinarians, or trainers. Our staff is passionate about the care of your animal and believes in the vision of The Doghouse.
You and your dog are known when you enter our facility. Most of the time, your dog already has a nickname with us!
Professional, Confident, and Knowledgeable
Words like this describe the decades of experience we have committed to our love of dogs. Our team combines hands-on training knowledge with a passion for each dog’s well-being.
Every decision, from daily care routines to long-term training plans, is guided by our commitment to professionalism and the trust clients place in us.
Where Trust and Care Have Grown for Decades
Our reputation in the community comes from the standards we’ve upheld for over two decades. We’ve built our business through word-of-mouth from dog owners who value the care, safety, and trust we provide every day.
Families return because they know their dogs are safe, well-cared for, and treated like our own. We’re grateful to all the clients who have shared their experiences and helped our family business grow.
We look forward to meeting you and your dog whenever the time feels right.
