DOG TRAINING PROGRAMS

Our Dog Training Services

We design our dog training services around your individual dog’s learning style and the Full Full-Servicelarity allows for customization to meet your goals.

Foundation Full Service Training

Goals and expectations for owner, dog, and trainer will be planned before training begins. This is a 3 week training program. Your dog will be trained at our facility with other dogs.

Distraction Full Service Training

If your training goal is to regularly take your dog to public places or if your dog is easily distracted when outside than this program is designed for you.

Socialization Full Service Training

In this program it is our objective to build your dog’s confidence through obedience and properly addressing your dog’s fears and insecurities.

Aggression Full Service Training

Dog and/or people aggression issues are the focus of the Aggression Full Service Program. There is a difference between aggression and the display of aggression.

Behavior Analysis/Meet Greet

Most behavioral problems are a result of improper management. Correcting or eliminating a problematical behavior your dog may have requires an evaluation.

Group Proofing Class

Proofing is when you give your dog a task and then put up variations of distractions to see if the dogs’ training is strong and reliable or if it can be lured off task.

In Home Training/Private Lessons

This program is designed for clients who are having training issues around the house such as potty accidents, digging, counter surfing, and/or jumping on guests. A trainer will come to your home to work with your dog.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

The CGC program was designed as a 2 part program that encourages responsible pet ownership. It is a 10 exercise test that incorporates obedience and temperament of the dog.

Specialty Training/Service Dogs

We have trained dogs as ring bearers in their human’s wedding, animal actors for movies and commercials, service dogs that provide specific tasks… the list is endless.

Competition Training

All of the trainers at The Doghouse LLC have competed or are currently competing in various dog sports including: Mondio Ring, IGP (formally known as IPO/Schutzhund), Rally, Agility, and Nosework.

Are you part of an expecting or growing family and you’re not sure how your dog will respond to the arrival of a newborn?  If so, The Doghouse has can help.

What Are Full Service Training Programs?

These training programs are “in kennel” where your dog will stay at The Doghouse, LLC training facility.

As with all programs at The Doghouse, LLC, Full Service Training is customized to fit you and your dog’s needs. 2 progression videos will be provided to you so you can observe your dog’s progression thru the obedience program.

Once the training is complete, lessons with you and the family will begin. We will teach you your dog’s new behaviors and commands and how to reinforce the training for when your dog returns home.

The dog doesn’t go home until the transition from trainer to owner has been fully accomplished and you feel confident handling and maintaining your dog’s obedience.

Each program teaches a foundation of reliable basic obedience and any other behavioral issues you may have will be resolved. We design the training around your individual dog’s learning style and the Full Service modularity allows for customization to meet your dog’s needs and your training goals.

What your dog will learn at The Doghouse, LLC

When describing what your dog will learn while being trained at The Doghouse saying the basic commands like heel, sit, down, stay, come and place don’t do the program enough justice!

The key is getting your dog to “generalize” those commands in any environment and with any distractions. That is reliable dog training!

It doesn’t matter if your dog does a sit with no distractions inside your home; let me see the sit command with dogs running around them or on a busy day downtown. That is the level of training we strive for at The Doghouse. Another common dog training term we use at The Doghouse, LLC is “proofing.” This is an important phase of learning, and we want to set your dog up in as many variations of the commands to ensure your dog is confident in knowing their job.

Will my dog obey the commands for me after training and how do you teach me to handle my dog?

YES! Unquestionably! We have been offering this program for 15 years and have perfected the process, that is why it’s infamously known as our Full Service Program rather then commonly called names such as “Doggie Bootcamp” or “Board and Trains.” Every detail of the process has been tested and our program holds a guaranteed success rate.

This is an interactive program between the trainer and the owner of the dog throughout the entire process. Two progression videos and numerous text/picture messages will be sent to you so we stay in constant communication. You can observe your dog’s progression and mentally prepare yourself for the change.

Once the training is complete, lessons with you and the family will begin. We will teach you all your dog’s new behaviors and commands and how to reinforce the training for when your dog returns home. The average it takes clients is 3 transition lessons and they can include training at our place, your place or anywhere in between. You have the choice of helping choose the location based on where you need the most confidence handling your newly trained pet.

The dog doesn’t go home until the transition from trainer to owner has been fully accomplished and you feel satisfied handling and maintaining your dog’s obedience. You are investing in a program, not a timeline/deadline. Each program teaches a foundation of reliable basic obedience and any other behavioral issues you may have will be resolved. We design the training around your individual dog’s learning style and the Full Service modularity allows for customization to meet your dog’s needs and your training goals.

I have gone into detail exactly what that means because it can be confusing especially if you feel that your dog already will perform those tasks.
