What Are Full-Service Training Programs?

We design Full-Service Training Programs that require your dog to stay at The Doghouse, LLC, a training facility, throughout its training.

As with all programs at The Doghouse, LLC, we customize the Full-Service Training to fit you and your dog’s needs. We provide two videos to observe your dog’s progression through the obedience program. Once the training is complete, lessons with you and the family will begin. We will teach you your dog’s new behaviors and commands and how to reinforce the training for when your dog returns home. Your dog doesn’t return home until the transition from trainer to owner is complete and you feel confident handling and maintaining your dog’s obedience.  That’s how commited we are to your success!

Each program teaches a foundation of reliable basic obedience. We will have resolved previous unwanted behavioral issues, and you will better understand your dog’s genetic needs and desires. We design the training around your individual dog’s learning style, and the Full-Service modularity allows for customization to meet your dog’s needs and training goals.

What your dog will learn at The Doghouse, LLC?

When describing what your dog will learn while being trained at The Doghouse, saying the basic commands like Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, and a Place doesn’t do the program enough justice! That is why we have created a video library of past graduates to show you.  

The key is to get your dog to “generalize” those commands in any environment and with any distractions. That is reliable dog training.
It doesn’t matter if your dog does a sit with no distractions inside your home; let me see the sit command with dogs running around them or on a busy day downtown. That is the level of training we achieve at The Doghouse.

Another common dog training term at The Doghouse, LLC, is “proofing.” Proofing is an essential learning phase, and we want to set your dog up with as many variations of the commands as possible to ensure its confidence in knowing its job.

Will my dog obey the commands after training, and How do you teach me to handle my dog?

YES! Unquestionably! We have been offering this program for almost 20 years and have perfected the process. That is why it’s infamously known as our Full-Service Program instead of commonly called names such as “Doggie Bootcamp” or “Board and Train.” We have tested every detail of the process, and our program holds a guaranteed success rate.

The Full-Service Training is an interactive program between the trainer and the dog owner throughout the process. It includes two progression videos and numerous text/picture messages to ensure constant communication. You can observe your dog’s progression and mentally prepare for the changes.

Once the training is complete, lessons with you and the family will begin. We will teach you how to handle your trained dog and practically reinforce the new skill set in your routine. We include three transition lessons before your dog returns to ensure your handling matches your dog’s new skill set. The lessons consist of training at our place, your place, or anywhere between. You have the choice of helping choose the location based on where you need the most confidence in handling your newly trained pet. It is important to empathize; your dog is in training until the transition from trainer to owner is complete. You are investing in a program, not a timeline/deadline.
